2015 Calendar made by TripZilla Magazine Source: TripZilla Magazine |
Malacañang Palace had
officially issued Proclamation No. 831, s. 2014, declaring the regular holidays
and special (non-working) days for the year 2015.
As
early as now, you must be all excited to plan your trips, short getaways and
long vacations for 2015. TripZilla Magazine plotted out all the dates and made a
special calendar in order for you to track possible long weekend plans.
Cheers to a huge number of
20 holidays and 13 long weekends with just three days of leave! Filipinos and
those working in the Philippines have all reasons to rejoice this 2015!
Note: Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha dates are still
tentative and will be announced next year once the Islamic calendar has been
finalised. If Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha do not fall on the estimated dates, the
long weekends will be reduced to 11 – still a great number to enjoy your
escapades for the whole year.
Mark your calendars, plan for your vacations and book your tickets!

Viral shirt sold in SM Department Store (Photo courtesy of Karen Kunawicz) |
This photo of a t-shirt with unacceptable quotation printed on it gets viral on social media sites posted by Karen Kunawicz on her Facebook page.
The shirt had these words printed on it: “It’s not Rape. It’s A snuggle With A Struggle.”
Karen Kunawicz wrote in the caption: “Really SM Department Store? In the boy’s section?” As of 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, September 23, the post had over 2,800 shares.
One of the people who commented on Karen Kunawicz’s post is Director Robbie Dinglasan, and he alleged that the shirt was part of the collection of the radio show, Boys’ Night Out (BNO), whose hosts were signed as endorsers of SM earlier this year. Director Robbie Dinglasan added that the shirt was already in the process of being pulled out.
Nonetheless, BNO host Sam YG said that the shirt was not part of the BNO collection. In his Instagram page, he said, "The shirt that was posted on Facebook is NOT part of the BNO Tees collection. Rape is a very serious matter. We are against it. No means no."

SM vowed that "appropriate action will be taken to ensure that this does not happen again."
